General
This list should be regarded as being 'in beta'. Information is based on dictionaries and other sources. Many Kazakh, Turkish, and Korean glosses are highly tentative. Comments and corrections welcome.
The treecreeper found in Mongolia is the Common or Eurasian Treecreeper (Certhia familiaris). This was originally called Цармын бялзуухай tsarmiŋ byalzuukhai, which means
'mountain-hollow finch'. In order to ensure that the genus Certhia has a unique generic name, the 2007 official names give it the new name of Бялзуумар byalzuumar, originally a name for the sand larks.
