General
This list should be regarded as being 'in beta'. Information is based on dictionaries and other sources. Many Kazakh, Turkish, and Korean glosses are highly tentative. Comments and corrections welcome.
The wren is known as the Уран бялзуухай uraŋ byalzuukhai or 'deft finch' (i.e., skilful, dextrous finch) in Mongolian.
In the 2007 official names, in order to avoid giving the genus Troglodytes the same name as other genera, the name Урагчин uragchiŋ is given to the wrens. This name is not found in most dictionaries.
