General names

This list should be regarded as being 'in beta'. Information is based on dictionaries and other sources. Many Kazakh, Turkish, and Korean glosses are highly tentative. Comments and corrections welcome.

The Мongolian name for the pratincoles is Сугат хөгт sugat khögt, abbreviated to Хөгт khögt in the 2007 list. Neither word is listed in dictionaries in the meaning of 'pratincole'. Dictionaries give the names Цагаалж tsagaalj or Цагаач tsagaach.
